Chicago Illinois and Midland
Name:

Chicago Illinois and Midland

Description:
Herald in gold on black. This small railroad operates in Central Illinois. For some time it ferried low quality coal from southern Illinois to lines that served Chicago, later it became an interconnecting railroad again ferrying coal, this time from the Powder River Basin delivered to Illinois terminals from western railroads. It was renamed after being purchased by Genesee and Wyoming (methinks it was given a two word name--Chicago and Midland--to fit into the G and W logo).
